PPD GeoWreath

This will be going on the house via the Inspire Light Shows mounting plates. For me, that means a long piece of 1/2” EMT behind the prop horizontally. They recommend that the slit go opposite to that for greater stability. Well, not exactly opposite since it’s at a seven degree angle or something like that. When you do that, the wiring diagram on the back is off by 90 degrees. It wasn’t too bad to mark each hole with the correct pixel number going by the xLights wiring view. With the mounting plates on, I think it will turn out correctly starting from any of the four tips those are attached at.

I’ve actually had one of these in my show for three or four years now. I use all PPD sequences so those look great on it. My previous way of mounting it on the house was a bit heavy and overbuilt. So I decided to start over with a much lighter mounting system, lightweight pixels (Mattos EVOs), and a brand new wreath. I painted it dark green with a “hole” in the middle matching the color of the house. Not as nice as a DayCor prop but it looks reasonably wreath-like.

Any slit prop especially one this large should come with backer plates in my opinion. This one does not.

Very nice prop, very well layout pattern . Wish it had a Backer of some sort to help keep it flat especially since it cuts through serval of the light hole and it hard to hold together to get some DIY support in place in order to keep the lights in place.
